
Al Cabrera balanced duty in the Coast Guard while studying
political science and sociology at UC Berkeley. He earned
his JD while working 40 hours a week, first as a clerk in an
accounting firm that specialized in forensic accounting and
then as a clerk for the County of Sacramento, Department of
Revenue Recovery. In 1996, he became an attorney for the
Central Valley Injured Worker Legal Clinic, taking clients’
cases through settlement conferences, trials and appellate
procedures. Al is a certified specialist in workers’
compensation. Al joined Morse, Giesler & Callister in 2003.
Al runs half-marathons and 10k benefit races. He lives in
Lodi with his wife and young daughter.
