Before joining Morse, Giesler, Calliister & Karlin in January 2011 as an associate attorney in their San Diego office, Neil Gilmor had been well seasoned by ten years in workers’ compensation at another Sen Diego firm. Neil received his specialization in Workers’ Compensation in 2008; he is a member of the California, Nevada and Maryland bars. Still, Neil describes his earlier experience as a bartender in Fells Point Maryland, and a Washington lobbyist for the National Hydropower Association as having helped him develop the people skills that best prepared him for his future career. A natural “people person" Neil enjoys developing the lasting personal and professional relationships that serve him and his clients effectively. His file handling strategies indude thoroughness, constant client contact, and a keen eye for causation in medical issues, informed by two generations of doctors in his immediate family. Neil cites the use of databases to uncover impeachable information as yet another strategy that helps him to successfully push cases toward early resolution. A native of Baltimore, Neil and his family... wife, daughter and son, make their home in San Diego where the California lifestyle agrees with them all. Neil enjoys playing guitar, skiing, flag football, and laughs about his poor surfing skills; he is a self described bar-b-cue aficionado.
