Allen C. Van Camp, Senior Associate

Allen Van Camp began his interest in law as a result of familial ties. His cousin, a successful attorney in his own right, inspired Allen at young age by inviting him on an office visit at the World Trade Center. While walking his own path towards civil injury defense, Allen did make the move to follow said cousin towards the worker’s compensation industry after learning he became a judge. Allen cites the more collegial atmosphere of the practice as a reason he stays, enjoying the fact that both parties can vigorously advocate for their clients, while maintaining civility.

An attorney of integrity and honesty, Allen always strives for the correct and legal outcome, regardless of personal views. He finds passion in the opportunity to advocate for his client’s interests and protect those same clients from those taking advantage of the system, with strong conviction that such efforts ensure a just outcome for all parties.

When receiving a new file, Allen goes over the details of the case and then looks at the bigger picture, asking, “Why did this particular claim end up in litigation, and what can I do to see that those issues are addressed?” This approach allows him to choose the best course of action and move swiftly towards resolution.

Born and raised in Orange County, Allen has always considered California home. Even though he attended law school in Washington, practicing in the Golden State has always been part of the plan. In his personal life, he enjoys fishing and golf, citing the recreational opportunities that California provides, as well as his active sports fandom, as reasons to stay. He is also an active member of his church community, serving as ministry head, leading the future generation of lay ministers (lectors) with training and scheduling. Allen currently resides in Orange County with his wife, dog and cat.
