Lisa M. Clayton, Senior Associate

There wasn’t a single moment that inspired Lisa Clayton to work as a lawyer. She always seemed to stand up for what she felt was right. Out of college, Lisa started to work in the rehabilitation aspect of the Workers’ Compensation before moving into the legal defense side. After attending law school while working as a law office manager and passing the Bar Exam, it was an easy decision for her to stay in Workers’ Compensation. Her passion for learning and obtaining new knowledge fuels her drive to provide new prospective or possibilities to the client. Each new case is exciting for Lisa, as it is a clean slate with new issues that may not have been explored. Her goal is to always be more prepared than the opposing counsel.

Lisa and her family came to California in 1969 from England where her father was stationed in the military. Since then, it has always been home. She finds the Sierra Nevada Mountain range particularly inspiring where she enjoys camping, fishing and the beauty of the natural surroundings. She has been a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Department of California since she was a child, fighting for the rights of veterans, a fight close to her heart as her father was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars. Lisa is also passionate about her dogs.
